Since the early 1960’s, quality hand made lighting products were being designed and developed by Elstead Lighting. Its origins date back to 1686 when it was founded as the village forge in Elstead, Surrey and served the local townsfolk as the village blacksmith. The picture above shows the original forge which was used right up until the end of the early 1970’s and today the current factory continues to offer products that exude hand crafted quality and tradition.
The modern Elstead Lighting specialises in design and manufacture of products that blend quality and style, whether they are classic or contemporary designs. Based in the heart of the Hampshire countryside in Alton, England, the company employs more than 80 staff over 2 sites and uses modern methods and machinery alongside the original hand crafted skills handed down over the years.
